Representative of high Baroque , woodcarver and sculptor originally from Upper Lusatia. He came to Prague probably in 1684 and founded there a workshop which produced mainly wooden works of different quality for more then a half of century.Among its products there were also valuable wood carvings, stucco plastic art and stone sculptures. Jäckel brought to Prague as the first one Roman Baroque style: for his sculptures is characteristic kind of soft movement and picturesque draperies. He can be considered as one of the predecessorrs of M.B.Braun.
